EGET – Vibration stimulus as an alternative to the use of vasectomised males (mice and rats)

EGET stands for ‘Easy get next Generation by Embryo Transfer’

Until now, vasectomised males have been required to produce pseudo-pregnant females for embryo transfer. The ‘EGET’ stimulation kit can replace the role of the vasectomised male by delivering a vibrational stimulus to the female. This is a promising new method for applying the 3Rs principle to embryo transfer as well.
